Hello you!

I am Charlène, founder of postcard brand Hello August in Lichtervelde. As a graphic designer, I worked for many years as a freelancer for various companies and organisations. In 2015, I started the creative project Hello August, alongside my job. Now, almost seven years later, I am chasing my big dream: Hello August as my full-time job. My purpose is to radiate positivity, happiness and cosiness.

I design colourful greeting cards for big and small moments in life. With my illustrations, I hope to be always there for you. I am trying to put a smile on your face in happy and beautiful moments and in difficult and hard times I am trying to give you a bit of love.

Do you love sustainability? I do too! Hello August is a 100% Belgian postcard brand. We produce our greeting cards locally in West Flanders; from design to printing. That makes our ecological footprint small. Furthermore, we choose recycled paper with residues of corn, almonds and grapes. So, no tree has to die for Hello August. Ecology at its best!

Hello August is growing online and offline. Today more than 120 (web)shops in Europe sell our postcards. Together with students Fien, Marthe and Aster, I would like to put Hello August even further on the map. So, the dream continues…
